The Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club was established October 1920 as a non-profit organization. The purpose of this club is:
- To promote and encourage sportsmanship, the practice of field sports, outdoor activities, and conservation and all of its related forms.
- To inform, educate, encourage, and assist in the enforcement of all state, and local laws pertaining to conservation.
- To promote for the preservation, propagation, and conservation of all forms of fish and wildlife.
- To inform, educate, encourage and instruct young people in these various activities.
- To work with or be associated with any other group or organization for the betterment and promotion of any activities mentioned or implied in these articles.
